Matt Lawrence

Hello!

 

My name is Matthew Lawrence and I am a senior at Penn State University majoring in broadcast journalism and economics. As a lifelong sports fan, it has always been a dream of mine to work in the sports industry in some capacity.

 

At Penn State, I serve as the Chief Editor of our on-campus radio station, ComRadio. I have called various Penn State sporting events including football, basketball, soccer and lacrosse games. I've spent a summer working for a professional radio station in State College covering the State College Spikes, and last summer, I interned in the Group Sales Department with the Baltimore Orioles' Single-A Affiliate Frederick Keys.

 

I've recently become more interested in the business side of the sports world, hence the economics degree. But ultimately, I hope this site shows my desire and ability to work in the radio industry. Whether it's broadcasting high school football games or the Big Leagues, my passion lies in broadcasting, and the remainder of this site sheds some insight into my journalistic work.
